Claude Rains (Casablanca) plays the smooth, scheming radio star in a swanky film noir that includes Joan Caulfield (Monsieur Beaucaire) and noir icon Audrey Totter (The Set-Up). Casablanca's Michael Curtiz directs, layering the mystery with one enthralling visual flourish after another.
