New album by Chichibu guitarist Shin Sasakubo and Mozambique percussionist Matchume Zango, magical realism and mystic sound world with guitar, percussion and mbira! In the summer of 2024, the two entered a studio in Kofu, played together without dividing the booth, and recorded the music in half a day. This piece was completed by organically overlapping the backgrounds and landscapes of Chichibu and Mozambique, where each has lived. The title of this album, 'Kalamuka,' means 'soul cure' in Mozambican. This is Shin Sasakubo's 42nd album.
