And yet, there is not one double LP that escapes the curse of filler. In 2016, Schlarb opened BIG EGO, a commercial recording studio where he produced various artists. A year later, he began work on Houses of the Holy, his own attempt at solving modern rock's great puzzle. Recorded in the Joshua Tree desert, this album showcases a collaboration with bands and artists delivering songs steeped in themes of love, madness, and suicide, embodying the essence of modern rock.
