Frankfurt Radio Symphony Symphony No. 3 in C-Sharp Mino - CD Album
Petersen's Third Symphony in C sharp minor received its premiere in 1934 under the baton of Karl Friderich in Darmstadt; a further performance followed on September 24, 1935, under Hermann Abendroth in Berlin. This recording marks the first time this work has been captured. Petersen wrote a short commentary on his Third Symphony which was published in the September 1935 issue of the Zeitschrift für Musik, detailing the emotional journey of the composition.
