Eric Wubbels Altarpiece H. Af K. - Record Album - Vinyl LP
Altarpiece H. af K.
Altarpiece H. af K. is the new album by Eric Wubbels on Kou Records. An entirely acoustic spectral work for three bassoons, it draws inspiration from Hilma af Klint's Paintings for the Temple. This album highlights the bassoon's capacity for multiphonics and microtonal inflection, creating dense and vibrating spectra from the fundamental acoustic properties of the instruments alone. Across two long movements, the music transitions between stasis and propulsion, arriving at transformation through sustained attention.
