Colonel Redl (1984) Colonel Redl - Blu-Ray
In early-20th-century Austria-Hungary, hard work and fierce loyalty to the Empire allowed Alfred Redl (Klaus Maria Brandauer) to rise from his working class roots to a lofty position in Army intelligence. However, the resentments of his higher-born peers would couple with his closeted homosexuality to spur a scandalous end to his story. István Szabó's fact-inspired historical drama co-stars Armin Mueller-Stahl, Jan Niklas, Gudrun Landgrebe, Hans Christian Blech. 143 min.
