There was no stopping Buck Owens in 1964! I Don’t Care, released in November of that year, contained another #1 smash country hit in the title track. The album also initiated the tradition of showcasing the individual talents of the Buckaroos along with Buck himself. Featuring vocals by bassist Doyle Holly and guitarist/fiddle player Don Rich, the band turned in spirited renditions of current country hits like “Abilene” and “Louisiana Man.” Buck also served notice of his premier guitar prowess on the instrumental “Buck’s Polka.” The two bonus tracks on this remastered Sundazed Music edition are instrumental versions of “I Don’t Care” and “Don’t Let Her Know,” originally found on the album The Buck Owens Songbook. Dang me, this album is good!
