Abe / Higdon Contact - CD Album
On this release, The North Texas Wind Symphony, led by Eugene Migliaro Corporon, presents works for wind band that are percussion-heavy. Mark Ford's piece 'Stubernic Fantasy' opens the album, with Ford performing as one of three marimba soloists. It is followed by Daniel McCarthey's Chamber Symphony No. 1, Keiko Abe's Prism Rhapsody II, and Jennifer Higdon's Percussion Concerto, all of which also feature Ford as a soloist.
